Valentines Week

About 4 years ago Stan's sister Pam introduced us to this most wonderful holiday, Valentines Week. Pam's husband Reed and her were tired of finding a dinner location in crowded restaurants or the expectation of "what did your husband do for you on Valentine's Day?" They decided to celebrate all week and do nice things for each day. Valentine's Week can start one week before the 14th or the 14th can fall somewhere in the middle or you can do it the week after starting on February 14th.

This year we are starting ours today February 14th and will be celebrating each day this week. We love this new tradition. Stan really gets into it. This year will be our 4th year celebrating Valentines Week. It is by far one of our favorite traditions and holidays. We try to think of ways we can show the other we love each other. It is a time when we focus on each other. It doesn't have to cost anything depending on what your money situation is. We try to sometime during the week plan an overnight get-away. Stan started a day early (because Valentine's Day fell on a Sunday) with a balloon, 12 long stem red roses, and a card. He also cleaned up the dinner celebration we had today with all our children and his mom.

I love Stan so much. He is the best guy in the world. I couldn't ask for a better man to be married to. There are so many reasons I love him. I will focus on just a few this week as we celebrate being married and being in love. I will take pictures and blog about our adventures together this week.

Thanks to my wonderful daughter Angela who took these pictures for our 25th year anniversary. She made 2 old people look pretty good!
