King Joshua

Joshua turned 7 years old on Saturday. We had a royal gala to celebrate this event. Joshua was of course the king and the rest of us were his royal subjects. If any of you know Joshua very well this theme party was a perfect match for his personality. We had two court jesters (Spencer & Randy), the kung fu dragon (John), 3 knights (Stan, Jacob & Caleb), 3 fair maidens (Angela, Belinda & Katie Marie), the queen (Brittney), & the executioner (Benson). We ate with our hands, we danced, fought with swords, played Joshua's favorite game of pokey ball, we gave a toast with grape juice (Joshua wanted us to pretend it was "beer"), and watched Kung Fu Panda. We enjoyed ourselves so much at this grand event. The royal castle was thrashed by the end of the evening. Joshua was having a hard time the next day getting back to "real life". We had to let him know that having everything revolve around you isn't the way normal life is. He sure enjoyed it for the day though.

This is absolutely fabulous! What a delightful birthday party! I bet that kids was thrilled to his fingertips with the whole event. Everyone should be treated like a king (or a queen) on their birthday! Way to go mom! I bet that was a lot of work!

On my birthday I wish to have Stan over to my house to propose a toast. He has a way with words.

I love that last video. That was pretty funny when Joshua wanted us to pretend that it was beer. It sure was fun, thanks for the invite.
