Kids say the darndest things

I organized a little neighborhood preschool this year.  It started with 3 little kids.  It has grown to 6.  Jacob is the only boy.  We all take turns teaching and then have a field trip once a month.  One of the days I taught we had a snow day based off the book "The Snowy Day" by Ezra Jack Keats.  We collected snow and then watched it melt.  We then colored it with food coloring and put it in  squirt bottles and used it to color the snow with.  Spencer gave us rides on the sled around the yard
Jacob wants to marry Abby.  Just this last week I taught preschool.  Abby stayed after to play for awhile.  Abby said to Jacob:  Guess what? my dad is going to baptize me
Jacob:  Well guess what? my mom is going to baptize me (like he was trying to out do her)
Jacob was telling Abby how much he loved her.  Abby said, "Jacob you can't love me yet we're not married.
Earlier at preschool the kids were playing outside.  Taryn said to Jacob:  "Let's play house, you be the dad and I will be the mom".   Taryn then precedes to tell Jacob. "Don't call me Taryn, call me honey".  Jacob from then on calls out, "Honey, oh honey"
Jacob is certainly not lacking for female attention.  I think he rather enjoys being the only boy.

Listening to their conversations really cracks me up.  Teaching little children is really a lot of fun.  Spending time with younger children truly brings me joy.  Oh, to be as a little child

Oh how sweet! Seriously, Jacob will be a heartbreaker someday (he already is!). He is so sweet, and I love that he is so vocal lately in his own shy, but confident way. He's just growing up so fast! And Mom, you are amazing at teaching little kids. You always amaze me how you just go the extra mile every time! Love ya!

Well, in light of my last post, your post is much more positive about young children. No really, they are mostly very sweet and this was a fun post to read. You really do have the gift with the little ones.
