Were you tired of reading the Quasimodo post? I know some of you gave up on me and thought I would never blog again. To be quite honest with you I almost forgot how. I had an great summer with lots of exciting events. I guess I was so busy I didn't take the time to document it. I hope to get caught up so I can send away for that book because many of you know I'm not much of a scrap booker.
This picture belongs on our Fairview 4-wheeling excursion. We were invaded by a herd of sheep on the road. It was interesting watching the sheep dogs and how they watched over their flock.

Hotel Park City:
Stan and I went on an executive get away with his work this last weekend. We stayed in the nicest place up in Park City. Everything about it was perfect. The beautiful fall colors up against the mountains, the service, the food, the room, the company. I realized about my self that I am a nature girl. I would much rather be at the ocean, up in the mountains, or out in the country than in the city any day. Their is something very therapeutic about it.

Tuesday we decided to take the kids out of school to enjoy one last day of fall before it snowed in the mountains. The colors we're exquisite. I'm glad we did because today we all woke up to wind, cold and snow in the mountains. Jacob and Joshua drove practically the whole way. Stan and I didn't even have our hands on the handle bars most of the time.

We went to this beautiful place called Potter's Pond. A whole bunch of little islands surrounded by ponds. We got off the 4-wheelers and explored a little. So much fun and relaxing.
Jacob's new friend:

Our little animal lover finally talked his dad (who is a sucker for things like this) into getting him a new little kitty ( our cat of 15 years ran away to die a couple of months ago). A lady I visit teach cat had kittens. They were finally old enough to leave their mother. This is the one Jacob picked out. Can you see the utter joy and amazement in Jacob's face.

We have yet to decide on this little ones name. Jacob will get to decide. These are the names he has come up with ( with Joshua & Stan's help) so far: Ashley Man, Fluffy, Tuffy and many more random sounds that he comes up with that he thinks sound like names. Jacob's little kitty is 7 weeks old. What have we got ourselves into? Like we're not busy enough. What animal lover parents wouldn't do for their children.

Yah! Welcome back! We missed you while you were gone! It looks like you have had a fun time over the last little while. That 4-wheeler ride looks like it was a blast! And your new kitty is cute. That says a lot because it is coming from a woman who doesn't care much for the cat species! Glad to see that you're back and blogging again! Love ya!
yay a post! we've missed you, that's for sure. sounds like you've been too busy though! that cat is adorable, good luck with the naming.
Yahoo! A new post, and I might say much cuter of Jacob! We tried to make it up the canyon on Tuesday, but Lily was pretty sad after those shots, and we ended up cleaning up puke instead :( hopefully we will get up there before the leaves all fall. Cute kitty. Love the picts!
So glad you're back to blogging. I've missed reading and looking at your photos.
I think your cat is adorable. I'm still suggesting Miss Kitty as a name. I think Stan will like it because as I recall from reading the letters about him, he used to watch Gun Smoke as a kid. Anyway, try Jacob out on that name and see what he thinks.
Love the beautiful photos of your 4-wheeling excursions. The mountians are the best in the fall.
Oh so sweet!!! I am excited to meet your new addition to your family! :) I, like you, am a nature outdoor girl. I see where I get it from. Love you! Welcome back to the blogging world!
Wow, stranger! You've been busy leaving comments on my blog, it's about time I do the same for you! I miss the autumn in Utah, glad you got to enjoy it. Your boys hasn't changed a bit, they are petite and the 4 wheelers looked enormous.
I love all the beautiful fall colors. I think he should name the cat Ashley man:) That's my vote.
Fun pictures! I am not so good at staying on top of my blogging sometimes either.
I am with you on that being in the mountains is the best place to be, it is very theraputic for me also.
