We had a missionary family home evening. Stan's mom is on a family history mission in California. We wrote her letters and then talked about what qualities make a great missionary. We then did door approaches and had the boys dress up. Stan & I played the investigators. Spencer and Jacob were companions. Spencer did a great job staying composed as his companion was running around the room chewing on his tie. Joshua was upset when Benson was telling the story of the first vision because he wanted to do all the talking. Joshua later bore testimony of how great the Book of Mormon was because it had all sorts of cool stories like Nephi building a ship and Ammon chopping of arms. We are so proud of our little missionaries and know that as we prepare them in family home evenings and daily scripture study that the MTC will not be a revelation to them but a review of what has already been taught. Spencer has only a year until he leaves, Benson has 5 years, Joshua has 13 years, and Jacob has 16 years. Stan and I figured by the time Jacob goes on his mission we will be retired and ready to put our mission papers in at the same time as Jacob. How exciting!!!
